EA Equestrian are well known in the area for our continued success in shows, most notably in the in hand classes and M&M divisions. Due to this, we host our own shows regularly and attend most of the local agricultural events and championships.
We are always adding new dates and events to the show schedule so don't despair if you miss one!

Our 'Own-A-Pone' days are always popular and with such a wide variety of horses (and donkeys!) to choose from, you are guaranteed to do something different every time! Once you have chosen your mount for the day you will be expected to feed, muck out and groom them in time for a lesson or hack (depending on preference and weather) before lunch and the same again afterwards. It is a great way to get to know your favourite pony and you don't need any experience to join in - the staff will explain everything from the word go and there is always someone there to help out if needed!

At the end of the day you will be presented with a certificate stating that you have 'owned' the pony for a day and a star rating depending on how well you have done.

Another popular activity is our ever popular Three Day Riding Course for the under 18s.
Similar to the 'own-a-pony' days, this course aims to boost the confidence of young riders and improve their riding and stable management skills. Like the other course, you will be allocated a horse or pony and will take care of them over the three days, learning about the equestrian way of life and finishing with a show on the last day, where the grooming skills you have picked up will come in very handy!
The course isn't split into age groups, but is divided by experience. The beginner class is for anyone - even if you've never sat on a horse before, up until you can do rising trot proficiently. The intermediate class is from that stage up to canter and the beginnings of jumping and the advanced is expected to be able to walk, trot, canter and jump.
In June last year, the horses and staff took part in a sponsored beach ride for charity and managed to raise over £400 for the RDA! We hope to repeat this success in the years to come and make it an annual event!

The weather behaved itself for a change and we really couldn't have asked for a better day!
David managed to collect the most money out of everyone, although we think that it was only because most people couldn't believe that he'd manage to stay on board for the whole ride and were betting on a very dramatic forced dismount in the sea!
As you can see the scenery was fantastic and was probably one of the most enjoyable ways to fundraise!

The bi-annual Hollowcroft show takes place in the beautiful grounds of Hollowcroft House in the spring and autumn.

It is always a popular venue and as well as the many equestrian events there are usually trade stands, falconry, flyball and other canine activities; combined with guided tours of the house and grounds. Entry is free for non competitors and a full list of events is available from the show secretary who you can contact at the house itself.
To keep our horses and clients out of danger; we also run Road Safety and traffic awareness courses every month and often more frequently in the winter months. They are free to attend and there is always a box full of reflective high visability vests and sashes in the office for you to use; courtesy of the local tack shop: 'Bits and Pieces' in Hollowcroft village.
