We thought you might like to see the sort of thing that goes on around the yard on a normal day so we've set up this photo gallery.

The annual Halloween Games went well this year with an unprecedented rise in competitors.

Lisa's team won for the second year in a row - mostly due to Tamarind causing a bit of a scene throughout the whole event...

See?!

Lisa took Dawn and Roscoe out on a hack the other day too give her confidence a bit of a boost and we think it worked wonders on the pair!

Lady meets Manchego for the first time in the school. She doesn't look very impressed...

When Archie unseated Ailie and went for an inpromptu roll in the sand, hilarity ensued.

Bareback Beach Ride

Mrs B - the resident blackbird - has been following us around at lunchtime in search of food. Abigail finally succumbed to her pathetic little chirps and gave her some crumbs from her 12 o'clock doughnut. Now she won't leave her alone!

There's always something to see at the yard - especially around feeding time!
The lads have a bit of a run around in the school and Banksy takes the opportunity to undo all the hard work that the helpers put into grooming him earlier...

Eeek!
David managed to capture Archie and Banksy's somewhat epic playfight on camera. It's just as well neither of them are shod!

Proof at last that Baz has been on a horse! He tried very hard to deny it, but Jenny got him on in the end.
Don't tell him we said this, but we think he enjoyed it.

Mucking out.
Well ? What else do we pay him for?

Todd and Spud, having a 'moment' in the paddock.

David untacks Kerry after a long (and cold!) hack on the moor.
Kestral, Axel and Bambi enjoy the snow in the 'Foalie Field'

The boys go for a gallop and take advantage of the warm winter sunshine.

Unfortunately for them...it's time to go back to the yard...

A typical native breed, Rhona doesn't need a rug in the winter, although even she looks a little surprised at the sheer volume of snow we managed to get this winter!

Despite the snow, horses still have to be taken in from the field and Izzy and Lisa bravely volunteered to go and fetch Cally. What they failed to mention was the fact that they would be doing it bareback! As you can no doubt see, Rhona is as laidback as they come and responds to only a neckrope.

One of our regular riders, Izzy takes the very lovely Banksy over the trotting poles in the school.

Nerves of steel! Our lovely old Highland - Rhona, proves to be a natural when it comes to jumping, although Lisa is the only one brave enough to attempt it bareback!

David does his best to get Tamarind working on an outline. (and succeeds, amazingly!)

A typical scene, mid morning at the yard.

This stunning panorama shows the beautiful hacking opportunities we are so lucky to have here.

As the nights draw in, lessons are often conducted as its getting dark. Good thing we've now got automatic lighting on the yard!
