On top of all that we can also arrange specialist training days with some of our instructors if you need some help or advice from a qualified professional.

We have a fully stocked feed and tackroom on site, as well as a cosy staff room-come-office which becomes the yard capital in winter! The staff room is open to all, despite its name; however it isn't the largest spot in the yard so we'd recommend only to use it if you absolutely have to! (like when it's too cold to do much else!)

DIY, Part, Full and Grass Livery is available in one of our six stall stableblocks and limited spaces in our new barn styled block, and of course in our large fields and paddocks. As we are a small yard with a small staffbase, we prefer our liveries to do most of the work themselves as it cuts down the load for us, however, we will step in and help out if its really needed! Liveries will have access to all our facilities (we feel it's slightly unfair to make you pay more just to get a cup of tea in the staff room!) and our rates are quite reasonable.

                                                           Our Facilities

Our feedroom may be small but it still manages to hold nearly everything! There is a trough with a tap and hosepipe right outside for cleaning buckets and the overhang from the roof ensures that you will never end up too soggy at feeding time.

Our all weather outdoor school (40x60m) is suitable for most activities. We use top quality quarried sand for the surface, which provides a good firm base - especially useful for jumping. The arena was finally completed earlier last year after several drainage problems which had rendered it more akin to a small loch than a riding school!

We also have a brand new indoor arena - complete with viewing gallery and a tea-making area - perfect for those chilly mornings when the parents have to sit and watch the lessons! The livery stables are attached to it so if you're keeping your horse on site, it's going to be very handy for schooling sessions!

The office is the hub of the entire yard. In the dead of winter it is base camp for cold and tired riders and in the summer it provides shelter from the savage heat (well, perhaps not that savage!) and the bite of the fearsome clegs. We keep some of the schoolie's tack here and the rest in the tackroom next door. There is internet access as well as tea-making facilities and a safe place to dump your stuff when you're out and about. Spare hats, boots and high viz gear are located in here - just make sure you let Abigail know that you've taken them!

Our stables are large and well lit, with easy access to the yard and a window (non glazed) at the front. There is also a window connected to the passage behind the main stables. We use a mixture of bedding materials depending on the needs of the horses. Normally though it is good quality wood shavings and/or straw on rubber matting. After a recent theft incident, all stables now have CCTV cameras installed under the eaves so rest assured that if anyone tries to get in we'll know exactly who they are!

The new block, situated next to the outdoor school, is made up of eight very large and roomy looseboxes with a small tack room beside the arena. At the moment we use elasticated stall chains but if you'd prefer an actual door, we'd be happy to fit one for you.
